Walker County Schools Trivia Showdown!!
This is your opportunity to match wits against two-time Chatt Trivia champions, LaFayette High School's very own, The Van Buren Boyz!!
The LaFayette High School Key Club will be hosting a trivia tournament on Saturday, February 24th, from 12 noon until about 2:30. This tournament is open to all faculty and staff, currently employed or retired, of the Walker County School System. The purpose of this tournament is to raise money to help send members of the Key Club to the International Convention in Chicago, Illinois, next summer.
The tournament will be conducted by Chatt Trivia, and lunch will be provided. (Cost of lunch included in the tournament price)
The tournament will consist of 4 rounds and a bonus round, for a total of 5 rounds.
The Points Leading team for each round will receive a prize for each of its team members. In the event of a tie, the tied teams will be presented a "closest-to-the-pin" question to determine the winner of the round prize.
The winning team of the tournament, the team with the highest sum of the points of all four rounds and the bonus round, will be awarded a Grand Prize.
The Rules:
- Teams must consist of no more than 5 members.
- Primary members of the team may include retired/former employees of the Walker County School System who have served the Walker County School System in any capacity (Substitutes, resource officers, office personnel, etc.)
- Teams will be allowed a maximum of two "ringers" - two members of the team who are not employed by the Walker County School System.
- The "ringers" are not permitted to be current students of the Walker County School System.
- Before registering, designate one member as a team captain. This person will be in charge of registering the team. Enter the captain's name and e-mail address in the "Purchaser Info" section and in the "Team Price #1" section of the registration page.
- Answer the two important questions - "What is your team's name?" and "Please list the names of the members of your team..." in the "Ticket Holders" section of the registration.
